Epik High recently shared their insight and lessons on life on the latest episode of 'Epikase.'

Earlier last month, Epik High uploaded a video titled, 'We kept this food spot a secret for 10 YEARS (Korean potato pancake + spicy chicken feet 🔥)' where the three members revealed their favorite restaurant. During the episode, Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz spoke about life and gave advice on friendship.

The three began talking about this topic when Tablo brought up a painful past about a senior who beat up Mithra and Tukutz, which led to a discussion of their long-lasting friendship among the Epik High members.

Tablo commented, "But recently, a lot of that stuff has popped up in my algorithm, 'How to make good friends,' stuff like that, 'How to recognize and filter out bad friends.' Apparently, Epik High is trending in feeds lately because people really like seeing us as long-time friends. They find it fascinating."

He continued, "One thing for sure is, in your teens and twenties When you meet people or start your social life, you go in thinking, 'Whoever I meet will probably be a good person,' but with time, you find out they’re not. That’s how it is for most people, among your friends too." He added, "In your 30s and 40s, what changes is you go in already expecting that everyone’s probably not that great of a person."

Tukutz then gave advice, "You end up meeting people who stay in your life forever but this is something I want to tell younger folks." And Mithra added, "People in their early 20s just entering society - They get hurt so much by relationships, but I think you just shouldn’t expect too much from people. I hope you don’t think anything will last forever - just from experience. There were people who I thought would be lifelong friends. But because of some unexpected event, we just stopped seeing each other."

The members shared how they only slowly came to learn this fact through their life experience. Tablo shared, "We didn't even know that when we were younger," and Tukutz chimed in, saying, "Of course not, that's why we're saying it now since we went through our 30s and stuff."

Tablo then revealed the time when he was betrayed by the people he thought were his friends. He said, "There were so many unfair things, too. You might not know this, but during the Tajinyo incident, when the people involved were exposed, some of them were people I thought were my friends. I just chose not to include them. There were celebrities, too. Seeing those people still being loved by the public is frustrating, but if I talk about it or attack them, then I just become like them." He continued, "And that's even more frustrating. You just have to cut them off."

Tukutz joked, "Just give us the initials," and Tablo replied, "You know them too." But Tukutz replied in frustration, "There weren't just one or two. Those b*****ds."

Meanwhile, the Tajinyo incident occurred in 2010 when a group called TaJinYo, or 'We Request the Truth from Tablo,' questioned Tablo's Stanford University graduation. They alleged that Tablo had faked his academic background. However, it was eventually proven that Tablo had graduated from Stanford and went on to file a defamation lawsuit against the group.
