'Gag Concert' addressed rumors about Park Na Rae and Jang Do Yeon being ostracized from their team.
KBS 2TV's 'Gag Concert' (hereafter 'GagCon') has officially denied the rumors surrounding Park Na Rae and Jang Do Yeon, including speculation that they were being ostracized or had experienced a "no-show" from the rest of the team at a group dinner.
On May 29, Park Na Rae posted on her social media, "Yesterday was the happiest day ever—my first appearance on Gag Concert in 14 years. It was supposed to be a group dinner, but why did no one show up..?" along with a photo of her and Jang Do Yeon sitting by themselves at a restaurant.
In the photo, only the two of them are seen at the dinner venue, with no other cast or staff members in the background. This led some to speculate about discord between senior and junior members—so-called "ostracization"—and even raised suspicions that the restaurant had been booked for a group event but that no one else showed up, a so-called "no-show."
In response, the 'GagCon' team posted on its official social media on May 31, with a playful caption, "The incredibly joyful Gag Concert group dinner! Na Rae, Do Yeon, where were you?" along with several photos from the dinner.
The newly released photos from 'GagCon' show Park Na Rae and Jang Do Yeon sitting together at a table, holding beer glasses and chatting, as well as dozens of cast and staff members gathered in a cheerful atmosphere, enjoying the dinner together. In particular, one group photo captures many smiling faces and lively poses, dispelling the rumors of discord once and for all.
It was also clarified that the earlier photo of Park Na Rae and Jang Do Yeon was taken when they had arrived early, before the dinner officially began. It was later confirmed that many colleagues did attend and joined them for the dinner.
With this, the rumors of discord among 'GagCon' cast members and the no-show suspicion have been dismissed as a misunderstanding. It is also reported that Park Na Rae and Jang Do Yeon mingled naturally with the team, helping to create a lively dinner atmosphere as they celebrated their return to the show together for the first time in 13 years.
