On June 5, KISS OF LIFE's agency S2 Entertainment made a significant announcement on the group's official social media.
A statement was posted explaining that due to death threats and other serious harassment being directed at KISS OF LIFE, the company would be taking legal action against those making threats. In addition, S2 Entertainment took the opportunity to apologize once again for what occurred during the now-infamous birthday livestream.
This statement marks KISS OF LIFE's fourth apology for their recent livestream controversy. On April 2, the group held a ‘hip-hop themed’ livestream that resulted in severe backlash for incorporating offensive racial stereotypes. KISS OF LIFE’s company S2 Entertainment deleted the livestream and posted an official apology shortly after, with the members themselves then posting a second, handwritten apology following that. Member Julie then apologized personally on a recent livestream.
Now, KISS OF LIFE has issued their fourth official apology, which has sparked mixed reactions from netizens. While some are praising the group for continuing to reflect on their actions, others say that the group has given too many apologies for this incident. Many netizens are shocked to learn that the group continues to receive death threats and hate comments due to their controversy.
