The note was in response to many fans’ requests for a personal apology for the group’s recent controversy, in addition to the company statement that was published previously.
With one paragraph from each member, the note aims to show KISS OF LIFE’s sincerity and remorse. The members apologize for any harm they caused and explain that they take full responsibility for their actions.
For context, the note is the second apology KISS OF LIFE has issued for their recent cultural appropriation controversy. On April 2, the group held a ‘hip-hop themed’ livestream that resulted in severe backlash for incorporating offensive racial stereotypes. While KISS OF LIFE’s company S2 Entertainment deleted the livestream and posted an official apology shortly after, many fans spent the last few days calling for a personal apology from the members themselves, rather than just the company.
