On the morning of June 3rd, actor Lee Jae Hoon appeared live on KBS1’s 'AM Plaza' to promote his upcoming film 'Big Deal.'
Sharing his excitement, Lee said it was both surreal and an honor to be on 'AM Plaza,' a program he has watched since childhood. He expressed, "I rarely get the opportunity to do live broadcasts, so this moment feels like a dream."
Although there were only 15 audience members in the studio, the response was enthusiastic with loud cheers and applause. Touched by the support, Lee commented, "I didn’t expect such a warm welcome. You applaud every time I speak. Can I come on the show every day?"
Live television appearances are relatively rare for actors. While news interviews and press events offer some promotional opportunities, they are infrequent. In particular, a young lead actor appearing on a morning show, which typically features older guests, naturally drew attention.
During the broadcast, Lee talked about his personal journey. He shared how he switched from being an engineering student to becoming an actor, the experience of being suddenly removed from a lead role in a theater production, and the behind-the-scenes stories from filming 'Big Deal.' Despite the film’s focus on drinking culture, Lee admitted that he has a low tolerance for alcohol and often suffers from hangovers.
Through his honesty and warmth, Lee Jae Hoon connected with the audience and offered a heartfelt glimpse into both his new film and his own life.
