Actress Joo Hyun Young (29) was involved in a car accident on June 4 while en route to a filming location.
According to industry sources, the accident occurred on a highway in Hadong County, South Gyeongsang Province, as Joo was traveling in a vehicle driven by her manager to the set of her ongoing drama. While she sustained injuries, they were reported to be not severe.
Her agency, AIMC, told SBS Entertainment News, “Joo Hyun Young was involved in a minor accident while heading to a filming schedule. Based on medical advice that rest and treatment are needed, we are currently adjusting her filming schedule so that she can focus on recovery over the next few days.”
In the meantime, the SBS PowerFM radio show '12 o'clock with Joo Hyun Young,' where she serves as a DJ, will temporarily feature special guest DJs.
Joo Hyun Young is currently filming the upcoming drama 'Ms. Incognito,' set to premiere in the second half of this year, in which she plays the role of Baek Hye Ji.
