EXID’s Solji made an appearance on the latest episode of the music competition show ‘King of Mask Singer’, its tenth anniversary special.
‘King of Mask Singer’ commemorated its tenth anniversary by inviting various winners throughout the years back on the show, including Solji, the first winner of the pilot episode.
After her opening performance, Solji expresses gratitude for the show, citing it as one of the most memorable experiences in her career. She thanks the show for revitalizing her career after ten years of toiling without recognition, and explains that it instilled faith in her about her singing, spurring her on to continue singing. Her win broke the common prejudice that the public has about idols’ singing abilities, and explain that she received a lot of support after her appearance. She concludes by stating that she is honored to be a part of the tenth anniversary.
Solji debuted with the idol group EXID in 2012 as the leader and vocalist. The group came into the limelight when member Hani’s fan-cam during a performance of “Up & Down” went viral in October 2014, months after the song was released. Most recently, the group reunited in March 2025 to perform Baby Vox’s “Get Up” in ‘Immortal Songs 2’.
