Singer Sung Si Kyung has officially stepped into the traditional liquor business, marking a significant milestone in his entrepreneurial journey.
On May 21, Sung shared a series of photos on his personal Instagram account. He wrote, "Yesterday was a wonderful time. I was quite nervous since it was my first time doing something like this, but everyone who came was so kind, and it turned out to be a warm and joyful event."

The photos showed a celebratory brand party that commemorated the launch of regular sales for his own makgeolli brand. The event was held with great fanfare and highlighted Sung’s successful transition into the liquor industry.

The party featured an impressive spread of food and alcohol. More than 80 guests were in attendance, including popular YouTubers such as Hamzy, Pani Bottle, Sanago, YOOXICMAN, jiminTV, Juryuhak, and Job Swa. The guest list also included chefs, writers, and creative directors, such as Chef Nakamura Koji.
Sung Si Kyung is well known in the entertainment industry as someone who enjoys good drinks. He first introduced his namesake makgeolli in February last year. His efforts were recognized at the '2024 Korea Liquor Awards,' where his makgeolli won the Grand Prize in the Traditional Liquor category.
With this latest development, Sung Si Kyung is expanding his reach beyond music and helping to promote traditional Korean beverages to a broader audience.
