On the afternoon of May 29, the cast and crew of the upcoming JTBC drama 'Good Boy' gathered at The Link Seoul Hotel for a press conference.
The event was attended by director Shim Na Yeon and lead actors Park Bo Gum, Kim So Hyun, Oh Jung Se, Lee Sang Yi, Heo Sung Tae, and Tae Won Seok.
Actress Kim So Hyun expressed her excitement about reuniting with Park Bo Gum, stating, “As soon as I heard that Park Bo Gum was cast, I knew I had to be part of this project. We first met as co-MCs at the '2015 KBS Drama Awards,' and a moment where I looked serious became a trending clip. Since then, many fans have been waiting to see us together in a drama. I’m really looking forward to how he portrays his character in 'Good Boy.'”
Park Bo Gum also shared his thoughts on working with Kim So Hyun, saying, “We met again at another awards ceremony after that. I told So Hyun there was a project I really wanted to do with her. I hoped that if she ever received the script, she would enjoy it and consider joining. I’m grateful she remembered and that we could now work together on 'Good Boy.' She suits the role of Hanna so well. I believe many viewers will discover new sides of her and be drawn to her charm.”
He continued, “The teamwork on set was excellent. The director gave great direction, the lighting director tailored tones for each character, and the action director choreographed realistic yet intense fight scenes. I hope 'Good Boy' becomes a reference point for similar dramas in the future.” Co-star Lee Sang Yi chimed in, adding, “If we were to win any awards, I’d hope for recognition in categories like Best Drama, Best Direction, or Best Cinematography rather than individual awards.”
'Good Boy' is a youth crime-comedy action drama that follows a group of medal-winning athletes who are specially recruited into the police force. Trading in their medals for badges, they confront a society rife with injustice and rule-breaking.
JTBC’s new weekend drama 'Good Boy' premieres on Saturday, May 31 at 10:40 PM KST.
