Kim Taeyang, a member of the boy group Newbeat, has sustained a minor rib fracture.
On May 21st KST, his agency Beat Interactive released a statement saying, “Kim Taeyang recently experienced chest pain during practice and visited the hospital. After undergoing tests, he was diagnosed with a minor rib fracture and was advised by medical staff to refrain from any strenuous activity for the time being.”
The agency added, “While he will be unable to participate in performances involving intense choreography, he will still appear at all scheduled events, including today’s opening performance at Chung-Ang University’s festival. He will perform while seated and not take part in the choreography, in line with his strong desire to join his group on stage.”
They continued, “Future appearances will be determined based on medical advice and the artist’s condition. If he is unable to participate in any activities, fans will be notified in advance.” The agency concluded by asking for fans’ understanding and support.
