On May 2, Seohyun appeared on Hyeri’s YouTube show 'Hyell's Club' and shared that she is finally speaking informally with her Girls' Generation members.
Their latest meeting on the show garnered much attention since both are maknaes (youngest members) of their respective girl groups - Seohyun of Girls’ Generation and Hyeri of Girl’s Day.
Seohyun shared her excitement, saying, “I’ve wanted to appear on variety shows. I’m really excited today.” Recalling her past interaction with Hyeri, she said, “The last time I saw her was in the hallway at a music show. She seemed like a good person when we greeted each other—her eyes were sparkling.”
Hyeri commented on the dynamic within Girls’ Generation, saying, “The age gap between the members is just one or two years, but Seohyun feels like the beloved youngest sister.”

Seohyun responded with a laugh, “I met them for the first time in fifth grade, so they probably still see me as a baby. But now I’m not the youngest anywhere I go, so I’ve developed an ‘older sister’ complex. I like being able to take care of others. When I see younger artists, I’ll ask, ‘Do you want unnie to buy this for you?’ My own members never say things like that,” she added, making everyone laugh.
Seohyun also shared that she recently began speaking informally with the other Girls’ Generation members after Yuri suggested it. She explained, “I’ve used honorifics with them since elementary school. Even when they told me to speak casually, I refused because it felt awkward.”

The turning point came when she had to play a character of the same age as a senior actor in a drama. She elaborated, “The senior told me, ‘Just speak comfortably. It’ll help us feel closer.’ And I realized it really does make a difference.”
She continued, “I’m really close with the members, but I think people don’t realize it because I use formal speech with them. I’m in the process of breaking the casual speech barrier. So far, I’ve done it with Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, and Tiffany. With Sunny, I tried half-formal, and she said, ‘Why are you suddenly being polite again?’ Even though things have changed, I always go back to my old self when I see them,” she said warmly.

Describing herself as an ENTJ, Seohyun said, “I don’t play games in relationships. It’s a waste of time. I’d rather use that energy elsewhere. I’m not the type to calculate things or take time to decide. I’m not good at quiet, still activities.”
Meanwhile, Seohyun appeared alongside Ma Dong Seok and Lee David in the film 'Holy Night: Demon Hunters,' which premiered on April 30. She revealed an impressive moment from filming and shared, “Ma Dong Seok’s action scenes are intense. There’s a scene where he breaks down a door with one hand, and it really wouldn’t open, so he actually broke it.”
