Actor Lee Dong Gun has become the subject of dating rumors following a recent sighting, but his agency has opted for a “no confirmation” stance, fueling further speculation.
On the morning of May 28th KST, a local outlet reported that Lee Dong-gun was spotted walking through the streets of Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam, on May 24th with an unidentified woman, described as “visually striking.”
In response, his current agency WPLUS Entertainment commented, “As this pertains to his private life, it is difficult to confirm with the actor.” The agency has since remained silent, choosing not to provide further clarification.
Lee Dong-gun previously married fellow actor Jo Yoon Hee in September 2017. The two finalized their divorce in May 2020, after three years of marriage. They have one daughter, who is currently being raised by Jo Yoon Hee.
Despite the divorce, Lee has remained actively involved in his daughter’s life, reportedly meeting her regularly. He previously gained attention for sharing glimpses of his relationship with her on the SBS variety program 'My Little Old Boy'. More recently, he opened a large-scale café in Jeju Island, showcasing his new life as a business owner on the same program.
Given that 'My Little Old Boy' often features dating segments and introductions for its cast, viewers speculated whether the alleged date was somehow tied to the show. However, a representative from SBS clarified, “We saw the reports about Lee Dong-gun, but the sighting has no connection to the program. It’s purely a personal matter and will not be featured on the show in any way.”
Previously, Lee also faced controversy during his café launch when neighboring business owners reportedly expressed discontent. At the time, his agency also chose not to respond. With this being his first dating rumor in five years since his divorce, the actor’s continued silence has only heightened public interest.
