The family of the late actress Kim Sae Ron has filed a criminal complaint against actor Kim Soo Hyun, alleging violations of the Child Welfare Act.
On May 7th KST, attorney Boo Ji Seok of Law Firm BUYOU, the legal representative of Kim Sae Ron’s family, held a press conference announcing that a complaint had been submitted against Kim Soo Hyun on charges of violating the Child Welfare Act and false accusation (perjury).
The family claims that Kim Soo Hyun forced Kim Sae Ron—then a middle school second-year student during winter break—to engage in sexually inappropriate acts and subjected her to sexual harassment and abuse.
They reiterated the claim that Kim Soo Hyun dated Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor, and said they filed the complaint for false accusation, stating that Kim Soo Hyun had attempted to have the bereaved family criminally charged.
Additionally, they revealed that an unidentified whistleblower was reportedly physically attacked with a weapon after refusing to sell key evidence for tens of billions of won, and they requested police protection for both the bereaved family and YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute (Garo Sero Institute) operator Kim Se Ui, who has been publicly supporting the family’s claims.
