Actor Kim Min Joon recently shared a personal story that caught fans' attention.
He revealed that he has been using a bag that once belonged to his brother-in-law, G-Dragon of Big Bang.
On May 2, a new video titled "What’s in a Celebrity’s Bag?" was uploaded to Kim Min Joon’s YouTube channel, Min Joon Journey. In the video, the actor gave viewers a glimpse into his personal belongings and spoke about the sentimental value of one particular item.
"This is a bag that my brother-in-law really loved," Kim said when asked to introduce his bag. "I carry it when I dress a bit more casually. It has become something I’m really attached to."
The vintage-style bag contained items such as a notebook and writing tools. When a staff member commented that Kim seemed to use things he liked for a long time, he nodded in agreement. “That’s right. I sometimes think about passing these things on to my child one day. It’s not a luxury item, but I do have a vintage-style belt that was expensive. When I buy things like that, my wife says, ‘Isn’t that old? Just throw it away.’ And when I tell her, ‘I want to give it to our child,’ she replies, ‘Do you think they’ll even want it?’”
He continued, “If my child learns to appreciate vintage items, I think it would be meaningful to pass them down. My wife doesn’t really get it, but I try to hold on to those things.”
Kim Min Joon married designer Kwon Dami, the older sister of G-Dragon, in 2019. The couple has one son.
