
Kim Jong Kook has purchased a large luxury villa in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam for 6.2 billion KRW (approximately 4.32 million USD).
According to a May 1 report from real estate industry sources, Kim Jong Kook acquired one unit of the 243㎡ (approx. 2,615 sq ft) type at “Nonhyeon Apelbaum 2nd Complex (Unit 3)” in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul last month. The transaction amount was 6.2 billion KRW (approximately 4.32 million USD), and it is believed that he paid the full amount in cash, as no mortgage was registered on the property.
The newly purchased Nonhyeon Apelbaum is a luxury townhouse-style villa complex located at 260 Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam. It consists of 76 households in total, with 38 households completed in the first phase and another 38 in the second. The first phase was completed in 2007, followed by the second in 2011.

This villa is especially favored by celebrities who value privacy, as it features five-layered exterior walls and 180 CCTV cameras. Actors Jang Geun Suk and Lee Yo Won are also known to reside in the same complex.
Meanwhile, Kim Jong Kook’s current residence, the “Acro Hills Nonhyeon” apartment in the same neighborhood, has the largest unit size of 113㎡. He recently appeared on a variety show where he showed his cluttered home and mentioned, “I have to move by June.”
