FTISLAND member Lee Hongki experienced a moment of alarm during a recent performance at Hanyang University, where he lost his footing and fell in the middle of a song.
On May 28, Lee took to Instagram to share a video and two photos from the event, writing, “It was scary… it was slippery… but I’m so thankful. Thank you!!!!”
The footage shows Lee Hongki performing on stage during the university’s festival season. However, in the middle of the song, he suddenly lost his balance and fell, appearing slightly startled. Despite the unexpected fall, he quickly recovered and continued singing while seated, displaying his professionalism.
Audience members, who had been enjoying the lively performance, were visibly shocked by the incident, their open-mouthed reactions captured in the video.
The fall sparked concern among fans and viewers, especially as it occurred during a live event. Fortunately, there were no reports of serious injury.
Meanwhile, FTISLAND has been performing as a two-member group following Choi Minhwan’s suspension from activities amid allegations related to prostitution. Lee Hongki, who publicly stood by Choi during the controversy, has faced criticism for what some perceived as a defensive stance, stirring debate among fans and the public alike.
