On the May 27th KST episode of the YouTube talk show 'Salon Drip 2', Cha Tae Hyun, Kim Jong Min, and Lee Joon joined host Jang Do Yeon for an open and humorous conversation.
During the show, Cha Tae Hyun talked about launching an agency with his longtime friend of 20 years, Jo In Sung. “We’d talked about it for years,” he explained. “As we got older, we realized that once our contracts ended, we wouldn’t really have anywhere to go unless we managed things solo. So we said, ‘If we’re going to do it alone, why not just do it together?’”
He added, “The timing worked out when In Sung’s contract ended, and that’s when the discussions became serious. In Sung actually came up with the company name.”
When Jang Do Yeon asked if they had a CEO’s office, Cha laughed and said, “We don’t have an office yet—we’re using a shared workspace. I’ll let you know when we find a proper place.”
Later in the episode, Lee Joon expressed his embarrassment about playing a student in a school uniform at age 38. Jang Do Yeon turned to Cha Tae Hyun, joking, “Isn’t the senior of school uniforms sitting right here? Probably the oldest actor in Korea—or even the world—to wear a school uniform.”
Cha laughed and recalled his experience filming the Disney+ series 'Moving' at age 47: “I thought I was going to die. I couldn’t believe it. I assumed they’d cast a child actor for the role. Everyone else’s part was played by a younger actor, but then they suddenly started fitting me for a wig and told me I’d be playing a high schooler.”
He added, “They said they’d touch up my face with CG, but when I got to the set, the kids next to me were actual high schoolers. I looked like their parent.”
When asked about his eldest son’s reaction, Cha replied, “Soo Chan doesn’t talk to us much. I don’t even know if he watched it.” — drawing laughter from the cast.
