An actress accused of being "Son Heung Min's blackmailer" has spoken out.
Musical actress Jung Min Hee has firmly denied rumors connecting her to the Son Heung Min blackmail case. On May 23, Jung Min Hee took to her Instagram Story to share direct messages (DMs) and comments she received, stating clearly that she has no involvement in the incident.
She wrote, "It’s not me. Who even started this? Stop contacting, following, and commenting," expressing frustration over the unfounded speculation.
The messages she revealed included questions such as "Are you the woman who blackmailed Son Heung Min?", "Are you really Son Heung Min’s ex-girlfriend?", and "Someone online said your Instagram is Son Heung Min’s ex's— is it true?"
The controversy began when two individuals were arrested on charges of demanding money from Son Heung Min while falsely claiming a pregnancy. On May 22, Gangnam Police Station in Seoul confirmed the custody transfer of a woman in her 20s, 'A', and a man in his 40s, 'B'.
'A' allegedly sent Son Heung Min’s side a fetal ultrasound image in June of last year, claiming to be pregnant and receiving 300 million won in exchange for keeping the matter private. 'B', said to be 'A’s boyfriend, reportedly demanded 70 million won from Son Heung Min’s side this past March but did not receive any money.
Amid the unfolding case, speculation circulated in online communities suggesting Jung Min Hee was Son Heung Min’s ex-girlfriend, a rumor that quickly spread to her social media platforms.
Jung Min Hee made her debut in the 2016 musical 'Aida' and recently appeared on the tvN variety program 'Unnie’s Organic Delivery,' where she performed choreography to Jennie’s "Like Jennie."
