ILLIT is gearing up for a return with a brand-new album in mid-June.
According to an exclusive report from IZE on April 30, ILLIT is in the final stages of preparation, working hard on their upcoming release. This will be their first new album in about eight months since they released their second mini-album' I'LL LIKE YOU' last October.
Since their debut, ILLIT has captured attention with their quirky charm and catchy music, quickly rising to the top among 5th-generation girl groups. Their debut track 'Magnetic' achieved an extraordinary milestone by entering both the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and the UK’s Official Singles Chart Top 100. This marked the first time in K-pop history that a debut song landed on both of the world’s major charts.
In just a short time, ILLIT has earned several global rookie awards and expanded their fanbase through short-form content, especially on TikTok. They’ve also built a strong presence overseas, particularly in Japan. Earlier this year, their track 'Almond Chocolate,' the theme song for the Japanese film 'It Takes More Than a Pretty Face to Fall in Love,' gained renewed attention and climbed the country’s major music charts.
Known for their vibrant style and unique sound, ILLIT is expected to show even more depth with this upcoming album. Fans are already eager to see how the group continues to grow and what new musical direction they’ll take next.
ILLIT will also be connecting with fans in person through their first fan concert, '2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN SEOUL,' taking place on June 7 and 8 at Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park. Their global activities will continue in August and September with concerts scheduled in Yokohama and Osaka.
