According to the Korean Film Council’s real-time box office tracker, 'YADANG: The Snitch' is off to a roaring start—racking up a pre-sale rate of 38.7% and selling 77,453 tickets by 7 a.m. on opening day. The film has held the No. 1 spot in pre-sales for five straight days since Saturday, April 12, and currently leads the reservation charts at major cinema chains: CGV (44.0%), Lotte Cinema (31.1%), and Megabox (35.3%).
Early audiences are raving. CGV calls it a “perfect blend of compelling subject matter, top-tier acting, and a solid script.” Megabox praises its “breakneck pace and jaw-dropping twists,” while Lotte Cinema goes all in, declaring it “the best film of 2024 and 2025 combined.”
With a stellar ensemble cast—Kang Ha Neul, Yoo Hae Jin, Park Hae Joon, Ryu Kyung Soo, and Chae Won Bin—audiences are calling the performances “a full-throttle showcase,” “completely captivating,” and “emotionally powerful.”
The supporting cast is just as strong, with veteran actors like Yoo Seong Ju (as drug kingpin Yeom Tae Soo), Kim Geum Soon (as syndicate boss Kim Hak Nam), and Lim Sung Kyun (as ally Chang Rak) making a lasting impact with their commanding presence.
