Actress Lee Se Young has been offered a leading role in the highly-anticipated webtoon-based drama, 'The Remarried Empress'.
According to Lee Se Young's agency Prain TPC on March 7 KST, "It's true that Lee Se Young has received an offer for 'The Remarried Empress'."
Based off of a popular fantasy web novel, 'The Remarried Empress' tells the story of Navier Ellie Trovi (played by Shin Min Ah), the empress of the Eastern Empire. After learning of her husband's intentions to make his mistress the new empress, Navier divorces and remarries the emperor of the Western Empire, all in a dramatic struggle to retain her cherished title.
It's known that actor Lee Jong Suk has been cast as Heinrey Alles Lazlo, the emperor of the Western Empire. Now, in talks to join the cast is Lee Se Young, up for the role of Rashta, the concubine who wins over the heart of Emperor Sovieshu of the Eastern Empire.
Meanwhile, 'The Remarried Empress' is directed by Jo Soo Won of 'Pinocchio' and 'I Can Hear Your Voice'.
