BTS’s Jin is set to embark on a unique hospitality adventure alongside webtoon artist Kian84 and broadcaster Ji Yea Eun in Netflix’s new variety show, ‘Kian’s Bizarre B&B’. The trio will run a floating guesthouse in the middle of the sea, navigating unexpected challenges while showcasing their entertaining chemistry.
Jin: The Ultimate Multitasker
In the show, Jin takes on multiple roles to support Kian84, handling cleaning, cooking, and even repairs, all while serving as Kian’s trusted advisor. The production team hinted at his seamless adaptation, stating, “Jin completely immersed himself in ‘Kian’s Bizarre B&B’ and gave his all throughout filming.”
Reflecting on his experience, Jin shared, “I really enjoyed trying something new. I approached it with a ‘give it my all’ mindset and focused on bringing out the charm and concept of ‘Kian’s Bizarre B&B.’”
Kian84’s Dream Guesthouse Comes to Life
Kian84, stepping into the role of an inexperienced yet ambitious host, personally designed the guesthouse, incorporating all his imaginative ideas. As expected, he faces numerous obstacles but learns and evolves through trial and error. “Seeing my imagination come to life and meeting so many guests felt like stepping into a surreal dream,” he remarked.
Meanwhile, Ji Yea Eun takes on the role of the guesthouse’s youngest crew member and designated boat pilot. To prepare, she obtained a boating license, ensuring safe guest transport while also providing plenty of unexpected comedic moments. “I wanted to be part of this show no matter what. I even practiced hard on the Han River to get my license—I can’t wait to show off my driving skills!” she said.
The Birth of a Unique Variety Show
The idea for ‘Kian’s Bizarre B&B’ stemmed from a conversation between director Jung Hyo Min and the writer of ‘Hyori’s Homestay’. The concept sparked curiosity: “What if Kian84 ran a guesthouse?” Jung recalled. “Since the lifestyle of the host naturally shapes a variety show like this, we were confident that Kian84’s interactions with guests would be intriguing.”
The Unexpected Yet Perfect Synergy
The chemistry between the cast is a major highlight of the show. Kian84 admitted, “There were many moments when I felt overwhelmed as the host, but Jin kept me grounded.” He also expressed gratitude to Ji Yea Eun, saying, “She was so dedicated—she even got a boating license just for this. I truly appreciate her commitment.”
Jin, on the other hand, humorously recalled the chaos, saying, “The staff was just as wild as the show’s title suggests. But looking back, it’s all a great memory now.”
A New Take on the Guesthouse Reality Genre
‘Kian’s Bizarre B&B’ is a fresh twist on the traditional guesthouse variety format, promising hilarious moments, heartfelt connections, and unpredictable adventures.
The 9-episode series will premiere on April 8th, with three episodes released weekly over three weeks.
