Kim Chung Ha donates 50 million KRW(~34,000 USD) to support children’s medical expenses and hygiene products.

Singer Kim Chung Ha has made a generous donation in honor of her birthday, contributing under her fan club HARRT’s name to support medical expenses for children from low-income families and hygiene products for young women and girls, as announced by ChildFund Korea on February 9th KST.

The 50 million KRW donation will be used to cover surgery and rehabilitation costs for children in financial hardship across the country, as well as to provide hygiene products for disadvantaged young women and girls.

As a member of ChildFund Korea’s Green Noble Club, Kim Chung Ha has consistently engaged in philanthropy. Since her initial donation of 50 million KRW in 2019 for pediatric medical treatments, she has continued to support low-income children during the COVID-19 pandemic, participated in the year-end Santa Expedition donation campaign, and contributed to various child welfare initiatives.

In January last year, Kim Chung Ha also donated to cover facial reconstruction surgery for children with congenital cleft lips and palates and bone lengthening surgery for a child with knee cancer. This year, she carried out her birthday donation under her fan club’s name, further demonstrating her commitment to giving back.

Kim Chung Ha stated, “I hope these children recover physically and emotionally so they can grow up healthy, and I wish for young women and girls to live each day with confidence and dignity.”

ChildFund Korea’s chairman Hwang Young Gi added, “This donation will be a great source of strength for children to lead healthier lives. We at ChildFund Korea will continue to stand by children and support their well-being.”
