Akdong Musician (AKMU) member Lee Suhyun unexpectedly withdrew from her scheduled appearance at Onew’s concert.
On February 20, Onew’s agency, Griffin Entertainment, announced on its official social media, stating, “Lee Suhyun, who was scheduled to appear as a guest at the concert on the 21st, will unfortunately not be able to attend.”
The agency further expressed, “We sincerely apologize to the audience looking forward to Onew and Lee Suhyun’s amazing performance. We will do our best to deliver an even better concert. We kindly ask for your understanding.”
Lee Suhyun was initially set to perform as a guest on the first day of Onew’s solo concert on February 21. However, just a day before the event, news broke that she would no longer be participating.
While the exact reason for her cancellation was not explicitly stated, many speculate that it is linked to the recent passing of her close friend, the late Kim Sae Ron.
Kim Sae Ron was found deceased at her home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on February 16. Reports indicate that Lee Suhyun immediately visited the funeral hall upon hearing the tragic news.
