Following news of a police investigation into WINNER member Song Min Ho's forged attendance allegations at his public service post, a representative of the Mapo Civilian Convenience Facility has spoken up to deny the allegations as false.
According to 'A', director of the Mapo Civilian Convenience Facility where Song Min Ho has been assigned for his mandatory public service duties, "I saw Song Min Ho every day. I confirmed that he had reported in for work before submitting his attendance. I mean, he's not the only employee I'm in charge of, so I can't always check and see if he's in every single day. The Military Manpower Administration will be checking CCTV footage on that matter. But I assure you that his attendance was submitted according to the rules set by the MMA."
Furthermore, 'A' stated that Song Min Ho's military service eligibility had been reassigned around March or April of this year. According to his physical examination, Song Min Ho has been classified as 'Rank 4', which places him on reservist status based on updated Military Manpower Administration guidelines. Reservist status means that Song Min Ho will be called to serve only during a national emergency, such as war. It's believed that Song Min Ho received this classification after being diagnosed with anxiety and bipolar disorders.
'A' explained, "I advised him to file for an early discharged with the MMA. The MMA guidelines would have approved him for an early discharge. There was another person like him who was discharged after 2 months of public duty. But Song Min Ho declined, saying that he had to complete the mandatory time as a celebrity."
Finally, 'A' revealed that Song Min Ho was on paid sick leave since December 18 KST. According to 'A', "I believe he is having trouble leading a normal life. He has his good days and bad days. His illness got worse in February and again in April. And it's gotten worse again now. Based on what I've heard from his manager, he's spending time in the hospital."
