BIGBANG member G-Dragon showcased his status as a “Chanel icon” with his recent appearance.
On November 4th, G-Dragon departed for Hong Kong to attend the Chanel 2024-2025 Cruise Replica Show.
He drew immediate attention at Incheon International Airport by arriving in a Tesla Cybertruck—a futuristic electric pickup truck not yet released in South Korea. Known for its avant-garde design and metallic exterior, the Cybertruck had a temporary license plate. Its price ranges from approximately 80 million to 130 million KRW, depending on the model.
True to his role as a global ambassador for Chanel, G-Dragon displayed his exceptional fashion sense in striking Chanel attire. He paired his look with a cap from his ‘POWER’ merchandise, released on October 31st, adding a colorful scarf for a unique touch. He further completed his look with vibrant orange sunglasses, adding his signature flair.
G-Dragon’s red cardigan was also a Chanel piece, priced around 6 million KRW (Approximately $4,500 US), and his black classic Chanel flap bag—with graffiti-like paint accents—was valued at approximately 17 million KRW (Approximately $13,000 US).
His new digital single, ‘POWER,’ released worldwide on October 31st, quickly topped real-time music charts, including Melon, Genie, Bugs, and Vibe, marking his triumphant return. Within just five minutes of release, ‘POWER’ reached over 83,000 users on Melon, soaring to second place on the TOP100, showing his remarkable popularity despite a seven-year hiatus.
G-Dragon is set to perform at the 2024 MAMA AWARDS on November 23rd.
