NewJeans’ Hanni set to appear at National Assembly environmental audit as fans rally in support.
As NewJeans member Hanni prepares to appear as a witness at the National Assembly’s Environment and Labor Committee audit, fans have gathered outside the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, on the morning of October 15th KST to show their support with placard protests.
In anticipation of heavy media attention for Hanni’s appearance, the National Assembly has restricted on-site media coverage. Although Hanni is not obligated to testify at the audit, she previously announced on October 9th through her platform that she would attend alone, out of consideration for her fellow members and fans.
During the morning session of the Environment and Labor Committee’s questioning, Hanni’s nameplate remains set, awaiting her scheduled appearance later in the afternoon.
