Choi Hwa Jung has become the new face of Sulwhasoo.
As the newly appointed ambassador for Amorepacific’s luxury beauty brand Sulwhasoo, Choi attended her first official event on the 10th at the Sulwhasoo House in Bukchon, Seoul, to celebrate the launch of Jaumsaeng Cream.
Choi expressed her excitement, stating, "It’s an honor to become a Sulwhasoo model at 64."
It is considered unusual in the industry for a beauty brand ambassador to be a broadcaster in their 60s.
Since its launch in 1997, Sulwhasoo maintained a "no model" policy for over 20 years. However, in 2018, the brand appointed actress Song Hye Kyo as its first model. In 2022, BLACKPINK’s Rosé succeeded Song Hye Kyo and served as the global ambassador for two years.
Meanwhile, Choi Hwa Jung has seen a resurgence in her career, attracting over 500,000 subscribers within just two months of launching her YouTube channel 'Hello, this is Choi Hwa Jung'. Her videos have sparked sell-out frenzies with everything she eats, drinks, wears, and recommends becoming instant hits.
