On September 17th KST, BTS’s official YouTube and Weverse channels released episode 6 of “Run Jin” titled “Prince of Tennis.” This is Jin’s first solo content series, and it’s been generating an explosive response.
Appearing with a large tennis bag, the “visual king” Jin expressed his gratitude to the production team, saying, “It’s been a while since I played tennis due to the rain, so I’m thankful that I can play today.” Jin has previously shown his versatile athletic side, winning the “Long-term Tennis Project” on BTS’s variety show “Run BTS.”
The production team mentioned the positive reception of the previous tennis video, to which Jin humbly responded, “I got lucky with the rallies, so I was happy to share it.”
This episode featured actor Lee Yi Kyung as a guest. The two first met when Jin was in high school attending an acting academy. Lee Yi Kyung commented, “I’ve known you since you wore a school uniform. I was at the local acting academy after my military service, and even back then, Jin was famous for being handsome.”
The production team introduced a “clock-out mission,” explaining that whoever wins could leave early. Jin humorously revealed that he had planned this rule to be fair for both the host and guest.
For their warm-up, Jin and Lee Yi Kyung participated in a tennis ball agility drill. The two hilariously argued about who should tie their shoes first, showing off their humorous chemistry.
For racket adaptation training, tennis coach Kim Sang Kyun offered them several tools. Jin chose a frying pan while Lee Yi Kyung selected a shovel, and they both did surprisingly well. In a side match, where the winner received benefits for the clock-out mission, Jin won using his frying pan and celebrated with a cute victory dance.
Later, two young tennis players, including one who had played for six years, joined for a “Run Jin Tennis Doubles Tie-Break” match. Jin and Lee Yi Kyung showed great chemistry while playing against the children, balancing tennis skills with humor. Jin’s “chemistry fairy” charm shined as he connected seamlessly with both Lee Yi Kyung and the kids, impressing everyone.
Tennis coach Kim Sang Kyun also shared some cool photos with Jin on his Instagram, showing their bond on set.
In the preview for the next episode, comedian Ji Suk Jin makes an appearance, hinting at another round of “Running Man” level chemistry with Jin, raising expectations even higher.
