Veteran singer-songwriter Yoon Jong Shin guest-starred on the 8th anniversary episode of ‘My Little Old Boy’ on August 25, revealing family photos and details about the songs he wrote.
Having been in the music industry for 35 years, Yoon Jong Shin states that he has written 600 songs thus far, of which the most profitable ones being two particular songs.
He first mentions “Like It,” which was a national success yielding many covers. While he debuted as a singer, he was more well-known as an MC and entertainment due to his comedic knack on variety shows like ‘Family Outing’ and ‘Radio Star’. This was the song that brought his singing and composing skills back to light. Despite only having wrote the lyrics, he explains that the royalties are significant. The other song that yields consistent returns is “Patbingsu”, or the Korean term for ‘red bean shaved ice’, a well-known Korean dessert.
Yoon Jong Shin also shares family photos of his happy family of five, expressing that all three of their children take after his wife and former tennis player Jeon Mi Ra’s lanky physique. He is now the shortest in his family, being the same height as his oldest daughter at 168 cm.
