Rappers ASH ISLAND and CHANMINA announce marriage and pregnancy

On June 7, Korean Rapper ASH ISLAND and Japanese-Korean Rapper CHANMINA have announced their marriage and pregnancy.

ASH ISLAND states, “I am deeply grateful for her presence; she is my pillar of strength in every way.” CHANMINA reciprocates the devotion, describing him as the “love of my life, my best friend, irreplaceable to me.”

They also express their gratitude and excitement as they are expecting a baby, as ASH ISLAND mentions that his “heart is overflowing with joy”, while CHANMINA exclaims that it makes them “so blessed and overwhelmed”.

They conclude each of their statements to address their work situation from here on out. CHANMINA notes that “there won’t be any schedule changes” for her shows and festival appearances, as she is receiving support from various people. On the other hand, ASH ISLAND announces that his exclusive contract with Ambition Musik has come to an end, and he will keep striving hard as an artist.

Born in 1998, CHANMINA first came into prominence through her appearance in a Japanese high school rap competition in 2016, and she has had a consistent rap career thus far. Born in 1999, ASH ISLAND became notable after he came in 4^th place in the second season of the Korean rap competition, Mnet’s ‘High School Rapper’. Similarly, he has been actively releasing new music.
