GFriend fans angry over website used to advertise 'adult services'

GFriend fans are angry over the disbanded girl group's website being taken by a company advertising 'adult services.'

The final post made to GFriend's official Japanese X account in May of 2021 includes their official URL, https://gfriendofficial.jp. However, the URL ownership by Source Music seems to have lapsed as a new adult website advertising prostitution services has taken over the link.

Fans are expressing angry over the new development as they feel the URL is still associated with GFriend. One fan expressed, "So first they end their contracts and kick them out, then they release shady articles with fake information, then they bring GFriend's name into their entire mess, then they delete their music from YouTube music, and now they sold the GFriend Japan website to a prostitution thing?!"

Though GFriend officially disbanded in May of 2021, many fans are arguing their websites and social media still hold memories, and they're displeased that they're now linked to adult services.
