On July 6, Son Ye Jin attended the Mega Talk session at the 28th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN), where she engaged in various discussions with the audience.
During the event, one audience member remarked, "Throughout my life, the actors I most wanted to see in person were Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin. I thought you two were perfect together in 'Crash Landing on You,' and hearing that such a handsome couple got married felt like a blessing. As a woman, what about Hyun Bin made you decide to marry him?"
Initially taken aback, Son Ye Jin responded with a smile, "That's a very fresh question. Isn't it time to wrap up?" She continued, "We meet many co-actors through numerous projects. Many people end up dating or marrying their co-stars, but that wasn't something I particularly preferred. However, destiny has its ways. People kept saying we looked alike, and I started to wonder, 'Do we really resemble each other?'"
Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin worked together in the film "The Negotiation" (2018) and the drama "Crash Landing on You" (2020).
Son Ye Jin, who was captivated by Hyun Bin's personality, said, "He's like a traditional gentleman. He's very upright and rational. I liked his straightforward nature; he doesn't sugarcoat unpleasant things or try to embellish himself. He's handsome, tall, and very reliable," she added with a pleased smile.
Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin got married in March 2022 and welcomed their son in November of the same year.
