Once Korea’s representative girl group, Wonder Girls “Tell Me,” released 16 years ago, has surpassed the milestone of 100 million streams on the music platform Spotify.
The song was a national sensation and huge commercial success upon release, with their choreography going viral. The group is known for their retro music and fashion style, with catchy hooks and simple but iconic dance moves.
The five members of the "Tell Me" era have remained relevant as individual artists in the entertainment industry, with some branching out of music.
Sunmi, the member with the most prolific solo music career, is busy promoting for her new digital single “Balloon in Love,” which was newly released on June 13.
Ahn Sohee has branched into acting and is busy promoting for her film ‘The Daechi Scandal’, which was newly released on June 19.
Yubin has been participating in numerous variety shows, while also pursuing a solo music career.
Sun, or Min Sunye, will be starring in the ‘Moon Night’ K-pop Dance Musical with SE7EN and Block B’s U-Kwon on July 13.
Yenny, or Park Ye-eun, had been consistently releasing music as a solo artist, under the pseudonym HA:TFELT, though she has been laying low recently.
