On June 25 KST, former Wonder Girls member Lim shared her feelings about her second pregnancy saying, "I was overwhelmed with joy and happiness as it took much longer to conceive our second child compared to Siwoo."

Lim and her husband, Shin Min Chul, are expecting their second child after 10 months of preparation. She mentioned, "My husband was as surprised and delighted as I was, given we had been preparing and waiting for ten months. The news came as a complete surprise to him."

She also revealed her first son Siwoo’s reaction, "Siwoo is still very young, so he doesn’t fully understand yet, but we keep telling him about his sibling, and he seems to be slowly recognizing it."

Regarding her current health status, she said, "Perhaps because it's my second pregnancy, all the symptoms appeared quickly. Today marks exactly 14 weeks and 2 days, and as I'm now in the second trimester, the morning sickness has greatly improved. Balancing radio work and childcare with this pregnancy, I’m trying to rest as much as possible when not working to maintain my condition."

Lim also expressed her hopes for a daughter, "My husband and I both have siblings of the opposite gender, so we've always had a dream of having a son and a daughter. We wish for our first child to be a son like his father, and the second to be a daughter like me. But this is just our ideal scenario. Regardless of the gender, we just hope for a healthy baby."

Earlier that day, Lim’s agency, Wav Entertainment, announced, "We are delighted to share the news of a precious new addition to Hyerim (Lim)’s family. She will continue her activities within a manageable range, ensuring her health and the baby's well-being."

Lim married Taekwondo athlete Shin Min Chul on July 5, 2020, after seven years of dating. They welcomed their first son, Siwoo, in February 2022.
