As dancers Monika and Lip J make appearances in dancer Honey J’s segment on the variety show ‘The Return of Superman’, Monika mentions that she has recently had her eggs frozen.
Monika goes on about how it has been tough to decide on pursuing an active dancing career versus having a child. While on the variety show ‘Golden Girls’, she received advice from various legendary female Korean singers that artists should not have to forsake for their careers, and that having a child is one of the huge blessings in life. That gave her the courage to prepare for the future by freezing her eggs, which is a way to preserve women’s fertility and allow for childbirth at a later date. She states that she has gained 8 kg in the process.
The three dancers have been close friends for 16 years and counting, and have become well-known to the public through the first season of the competitive dance variety show ‘Street Woman Fighter’ aka ‘SWF’.
Recently, many female celebrities have mentioned egg freezing, including Jessi and Park Na Rae.

One thing women need to understand about freezing their eggs, is that it is not a guarantee that you will be able to have a baby in the future. It's a chance to have a baby. You might go through the process which can be painful and dangerous and still end up with no baby in the long run. You have to understand that and be prepared for it.
