Model and actress Kim Jin-kyung and professional football goalkeeper Kim Seung-gyu are planning to tie the knot this June.

According to The Fact, the couple, who share a common passion for soccer, have decided to take their relationship to the next level with a wedding scheduled for next month.

Kim Jin-kyung currently stars as a midfielder for FC Nine Foot in the SBS entertainment show "Shoot for Love," where she captivates viewers with her exceptional athletic skills. She also has a history of playing in a youth soccer team, which adds to her connection with the sport.

The show "Shoot for Love" has seen several of its cast members marrying professional football players or former players, making such pairings a recurring theme. Comedian Oh Na-mi married former football player Park Min in September 2022, and football content creator Lee Soon-al (real name Jung Yi-soo) married footballer Kwon Chang-hoon in July last year.

Kim Jin-kyung first stepped into the limelight in 2012 as a runner-up on OnStyle's "Korea's Next Top Model, Season 3" at just 16, impressing the judges with her photogenic qualities. She has since appeared in various dramas and reality shows, including KBS1’s "Andante" (2017), KBS2’s "Perfume" (2019), MBC’s "We Got Married" (2016), and SBS’s "Law of the Jungle in Patagonia" (2018).

Kim Seung-gyu began his professional football career with Ulsan Hyundai in 2006 and has played for clubs like Vissel Kobe and Kashiwa Reysol in Japan. He is currently with Al-Shabab FC in Saudi Arabia. Over the past decade, he has been a key player for the South Korean national team, serving as the main goalkeeper under coach Paulo Bento and playing every match in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, helping Korea reach the Round of 16. He was also selected for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup team but had to withdraw due to a cruciate ligament injury.
