TUNEGEM K-POP Chart reports are out! Displaying a widespread range of variety in the Monthly View Chart on TUNEGEM for January 2024, this year has consistently surprised in overall monthly views.
January saw the comeback of several powerful idol groups starting with RIIZE and continuing with the likes of (G)-IDLE, ITZY, NMIXX and more. Despite this, girl groups still phased out boy groups on the charts, a strong indicator that girl groups are here to stay until a boy group can really break the mold and create an ultra unique concept that will shake up the charts.
Despite it's 2 consecutive month reign, aespa's "DRAMA" has finally relinquished its throne at the top dropping to 7th place from it's previous 1st place ranking. A number of new entrants consisting of both recent and older releases also was a surprising twist to January's data.
Amidst female idols like IVE, LE SSERAFIM and NMIXX, Taeyeon's release is most notable due to her position as a soloist. "To. X" serves as her title song for her fifth mini album and her veteran status as an idol paired with her unrivaled vocal ability has secured her a place on the Top 10 charts effortlessly.
