Netizens express shock at "Universe Ticket" final line-up's age gap

Universe Ticket ,an SBS survival show that premiered in November 2023, recently revealed its final lineup. Its primary goal is similar to that of A2K, to create a "global girl group". This goal is already being fulfilled, as two of the members are Filipina.

On January 17, the winning members were announced during the finale, along with the group's name, Unis.

Elisa, Bang Yunha, and Nana were the first three members to be revealed.

The final five members were chosen through final fan ticketing, which was combined with the points that they had accumulated during the show. Gehlee was the fourth group member to be announced with a score of 2,464,526 points.

Lim Seowon and Oh Yoona were announced as the fifth and sixth members of the group, earning 559,943 and 472,180 points respectively.

The final two members revealed were Kotoko and Cignature's Belle who earned 470,502 and 496,797 points respectively.

However, the age gap between the members is what has shocked many netizens. Three of the members were born in 2007, while three were born in 2009. And the group's maknae, Yunha, is 12, born in 2011.

Belle is the only adult member, aged 22. The age gap between her and the other members is six years at the least and ten years at the most.

The young ages of the members as well as the undeniably large age gap has drawn stunned responses from netizens.

I feel kinda bad for the eldest. I can imagine she's gonna end up feeling like there's a weight on her shoulders to take care of everyone else. I know all groups have someone who has that responsibility, but they usually at least have another older member or two to talk to about it and share some of the pressure/duties.

damn I was born in 2005 and even I feel bad for the eldest. It feels as if company's aren't interested in debuting grown adults anymore after the whole new jeans revolution of young girls having a fresh vibe. Its becoming cliche. Bring on the older ones please!
