Ji Chang Wook has officially turned down 'The Mantis' lead role, and Go Hyun Jung is reportedly in talks to join the cast.
Despite earlier reports, Ji Chang Wook's label Spring Company has confirmed he's turned down the offer to star as the lead in 'The Mantis' ('La Mante'). His label stated, "It's true Ji Chang Wook received an offer to star in 'The Mantis', but he's declined due to a scheduling conflict."
Meanwhile, Go Hyun Jung has been reportedly considering a lead role in the upcoming drama since November of 2023. Her agency IOK Company clarified, "She's currently reviewing the offer to appear in 'The Mantis'. It's one of the projects she's received an offer for."
'The Mantis' is based on the French thriller series 'La Mante', which follows imprisoned serial killer Jeanne Deber as she helps Paris police solve a series of unsolved murders committed by someone copying her crimes.
