G-Dragon's exclusive contract with YG Entertainment came to an end in June of this year. During that period, there were murmurs of meetings between G-Dragon and Galaxy Corporation for a potential exclusive contract.

Amidst these developments, G-Dragon was also ensnared in a drug-related controversy. However, he vigorously asserted his innocence, cooperated fully with the police investigation, and maintained a confident stance throughout the ordeal. All investigative outcomes ultimately cleared him of any wrongdoing.

In the wake of these events, speculations regarding G-Dragon's re-signing with YG Entertainment began circulating. Nevertheless, YG Entertainment has chosen to take a cautious approach by stating, "It is difficult to confirm" in response to these rumors.

Meanwhile, Galaxy Corporation, announced that they will host a press conference on Thursday, December 21, at 10 AM KST in Seoul. The press conference will address G-Dragon's acquittal from drug use allegations and discuss his upcoming ventures. Galaxy Corporation executives are expected to attend, with G-Dragon not in attendance.
