JYP Entertainment is launching a new boy group, NEXZ.
On December 15th, JYP Entertainment confirmed the final debuting members and the new boy group's name on the season 2 finale of 'Nizi Project.' Short for "Next Z(G)eneration," the group name NEXZ was coined by J.Y. Park himself on the show. At the debut member announcement, he explained, "I want NEXZ to open up the future with a new generation."
A total of seven members were selected to make their final debut. NEXZ is composed of Yu, Tomoya, Haru, Ken, Seita, Yuhi, Yuki.
NEXZ is scheduled to appear as a guest on Nippon TV's 'Day Day' on the 18th, marking the first time greeting the viewers.
Meanwhile, 'Nizi Project' is a joint audition program between JYP and Sony Music, Japan's largest record label. Season 1 of the program in 2020 gave birth to the girl group NiziU.
This information was already known the other day. If you wanted to write a good, current news article about NEXZ, you would have said that they released the prelease performance video for "Miracle," in both Japanese and Korean. This is a break in pattern from NiziU and VCHA, who released a predebut music video in their native language after their show ended.
