ITZY member Lia will be prolonging her hiatus from her activities, in order to focus on the treatment of her nervousness and anxiety symptoms.

On November 17 KST, JYP Entertainment relayed the news in an official statement, noting:

"Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.

We would like to notify you regarding ITZY member Lia's current health condition and upcoming promotion plans.

Lia, who has been suffering from symptoms of nervousness and anxiety during her schedules, has been diagnosed with anxiety disorder and is currently receiving treatment. 

After a thorough discussion with Lia and the rest of her group members, it has been decided that Lia will not participate in ITZY's new album, which is expected for release in January of 2024, and the subsequent world tour, in order to prioritize the full recovery of her health. 

For fans who will undoubtedly feel disappointment upon hearing this news, Lia's unreleased solo song titled 'Blossom' will be featured in the new album. A lyric video for the new song was also released on this day.

The company promises to always take the best possible measures for Lia's recovery.
