Time and again, Jimin's power in the global fashion industry is exhibited in the various admirable feats seen over the years, and it is especially evident in the luxury fashion business [read more here]. This past week has demonstrated his impact in this much coveted multi-trillion dollar industry even more vividly, solidifying his status as a global fashion icon whose influence speaks for itself.

Jimin has recently been announced as the face of Tiffany & Co.'s Fall collection campaign as well as Dior's Spring 2024 collection campaign. This would be the second campaign that Jimin spearheads for Tiffany & Co., and the first for Dior since he was named global ambassador for both luxury brands. Notably, no Asian has ever been the face of a luxury brand's entire clothing collection, Jimin is the first one in history, and he does it with the biggest French luxury fashion brand. Nothing could spell out his power in this industry more than this. Of note is that he is also the first Asian male global ambassador for Dior!

The news of his upcoming activity as the face of Dior's Spring 2024 collection was announced via WWD magazine on Oct 9, where Dior's Artistic Men's Director, Kim Jones, had nothing but praises for Jimin and showed much enthusiasm to work with him finally. 

In an exclusive interview with the magazine, Mr. Jones said he was lucky to meet Jimin many years ago and that they had always talked about clothing together. He further added, 'I have seen the rise and rise of Jimin. He has an amazing style and character, that is why i wanted to have him for the campaign."

Immediately the news was announced, Jimin took over worldwide X trends with numerous tags, rising to the very top of the worldwide trends list as fans were over the moon to finally experience his highly anticipated first campaign with Dior, while also swooning over his striking visuals and how good he looked in the pieces he wore from the collection. He also topped X trends in South Korea and in the USA.

Just a few days earlier on Oct 5, Jimin had also been announced via Sharp Magazine as the face of an upcoming campaign by Tiffany & Co. for the brand's Fall collection in what the brand is terming as the #TiffanyHighJewelry.

Following these announcements, both brands have sponsored covers in different top magazines in South Korea, with Jimin being the sole model for both magazines, each having 3 different covers. Dior sponsored GQ Korea November issue while Tiffany & Co. sponsored ELLE Korea 31st Anniversary issue (November issue). All covers of both magazines are now available for pre-orders.

As always, Jimin modelling is always a sight to behold and his images from these covers from the two magazines sent fans into a frenzy. As expected, he dominated worldwide trends on X with different tags as shown below, with his name amassing over a  million mentions in the course of the day!

Fans had a light moment discussing the fact that both brands released magazine covers at the same time, as well as scheduling campaigns at the same period.
