'Once Upon a Boyhood' is a captivating period drama set in Chungcheongnam-do in 1989. It narrates the transformative journey of Byung Tae from being an 'loser' to being respected and celebrated, seemingly overnight. The revealed still pictures have intensified anticipation by offering glimpses of the vividly unique characters set against the backdrop of Buyeo Agricultural High School in 1980s Chungcheong Province.
Embodying the character of 'Byung Tae', Im Siwan effortlessly captures two varying personal narratives within a single frame. In one, he presents his character in a state of vulnerability, fear etched across his face, as he holds a shovel in the air. Another scene highlights the transformation, with Siwan sporting a confident smile, ruling over his peers with newfound authority.
