Recently, Dispatch publicized an exclusive report concerning the ongoing drug case associated with top actor Lee Sun Gyun.

The report further revealed that an informant who initially brought Lee Sun Gyun's name to light in this case, was specifically a manager of a Gangnam-based entertainment establishment known as 'Tenpro.'

According to the report, this informant claimed that Lee Sun Gyun was one of their establishment's VIP guests suspected to be involved in drug usage.

Dispatch stated in their report on October 23, "The probe into Lee Sun Gyun's alleged drug use commenced in mid-September following a single tip-off. This tip was procured from an individual known as 'A,' an employee at Tenpro, who reported that VIPs at the establishment were indulging in drug use."

Continuing its report, Dispatch explained, "The Incheon police, acting upon this tip, initiated a thorough investigation into 'A,' including searching his residence and conducting mobile phone forensics. During 'A's' intensive interrogation, Lee Sun Gyun's name emerged, and consequent to several pieces of incriminating evidence being collected, he was promptly branded as a suspect."

According to the Dispatch report, eight individuals, along with Lee Sun Gyun, are implicated in the ongoing investigation regarding drug usage and distribution at Tenpro. While 'A' currently remains in custody, Lee Sun Gyun, along with two other individuals referred to as 'B' and 'C,' have been categorized as suspects. Notably, four other individuals continue to be under active police investigation.

Born in 1975, Lee Sun Gyun is an established actor who married fellow actress Jeon Hye Jin in 2009, and the two have two children. As per a press release by Yonhap News, the Narcotics Crime Investigation Division of the Incheon Police formally charged Lee Sun Gyun with drug offenses on October 23, including usage of marijuana, under the Drug Control Act.

Simultaneously, the police arrested a 29-year-old individual, also known as 'A,' the manager at the Seoul Gangnam entertainment venue. 'A' stands accused of identical charges. In addition, a female employee in her 20s from the same entertainment venue was investigated but without any formal detention.

Adding a layer of intrigue to the ongoing investigation, the police have acknowledged that the manager, 'A,' had more than ten phone calls with Lee Sun Gyun over the course of the year. Further, the actor has been under a cloud of suspicion since early this year, following reports of him allegedly consuming marijuana and other illegal substances at 'A's' residence in Seoul.

The police have reportedly received crucial information involving Lee Sun Gyun while probing a tip-off about potential drug distribution at a Gangnam entertainment venue last month. Meanwhile, the instance of alleged extortion was also reported by Dispatch, stating, "The individual who threatened and blackmailed Lee Sun Gyun is the same 'A' embroiled in the drug case. 'A's motives behind such threats have yet to be determined."
