Netizens scrutinize FIFTY FIFTY's "Cupid" comeback schedule after the group's accusations against ATTRAKT violating their health care obligations

The controversy surrounding the rookie girl group FIFTY FIFTY is continuing to garner attention from the public, with the first trial for FIFTY FIFTY's injunction to terminate their exclusive contracts with ATTRAKT taking place yesterday.

During the first trial that took place on July 5, FIFTY FIFTY's side expressed their position, stating, "We intend to terminate the exclusive contract based on three reasons: lack of settlement data transparency, violation of the artist's health care obligations, and insufficient support for essential resources."

The girl group cited that they had not received proper payment for their success, and the agency failed to fulfill their obligation to care for the artists' health and gave insufficient support for essential resources. The members claimed that the agency's current settlement was conducted in an unclear manner and that they were coerced into continuing their activities despite their declining health conditions.

After the first trial, more questions have risen against the group. Idol trainer In Ji Woong recently stated that there are flaws to FIFTY FIFTY's claims since ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joon stated that he had invested a substantial amount of money in kick-starting the group, even selling his personal belongings to come up with the funds.

Despite receiving a significant amount of comprehensive training in various disciplines, including vocals, music theory, rap, dance, English, health and fitness, and even acting and living in a three-bedroom apartment in Gangnam, the girls claim that the agency did not give sufficient support.

This has led many netizens to question FIFTY FIFTY's claims, leading some to do some diffing on the web.

A group of netizens discovered a detailed itinerary outlining the planned activities for FIFTY FIFTY's comeback with their song "Cupid." Contrary to the girls' claims of enduring rigorous schedules, these netizens found that the planned activities were not as demanding as anticipated.

In the month of February, FIFTY FIFTY had six schedules, which were music show program appearances and an interactive music show. In March, they had a total of seven schedules, of which most were music programs as well.

Then in April and May, the girl group's schedules decreased because Aran had health issues. In a Kakaotalk conversation revealed by Dispatch, ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joon was seen allowing the girl group to stop activities despite the traction they were getting.

As additional information has come to light, public opinion regarding FIFTY FIFTY and the alleged attempts by The Giver's CEO to poach the girl group has undergone a complete reversal.

Many netizens have pointed out that FIFTY FIFTY has not gone through a rigorous schedule and were not coerced into continuing their activities despite their declining health conditions. One netizen criticized, "This is about the same amount of schedules a girl group gets when they have a comeback. If the agency didn't do their diligence, FIFTY FIFTY wouldn't even have this many comeback schedules."

Other netizens agreed and commented, "As a person who is a fan of 3rd generation idol groups, this isn't that many..." "You can't seriously say that's a lot of schedules," "I think regular company people would work more than that," "I really thought they should really row when the water comes in (continue to work harder when they are gaining traction) but they didn't so I thought it was weird. I guess it was to stab their CEO on the back," "These girls need to know what it really means to be overworked," "That amount of schedules is being coerced to work a lot?" "I hope they get to rest for the rest of their life," "They weren't that well known in Korea. The CEO must have worked his butt off trying to get them these gigs," "I guess they can live as ordinary people," and "The CEO worked harder to get them to appear on these shows."

Frankly, the more that's coming out the worse it looks for the members claiming victimisation as the reason to break their contract.

Compared to a lot of veteran groups they were living like royalty. Red Velvet Seulgi was living in a utility room in their group dorm.

6 or 7 schedules in a month is nothing. Lots of Kpop groups perform on 6 or 7 music shows a WEEK when they have a comeback, and they do that for a month or more. Plus variety show appearances and radio shows.
