A YouTuber involved in Yoo Ah In's drug case reportedly flees to France with Yoo Ah In's aid

A YouTuber, who fled from Korea to evade an investigation into actor Yoo Ah In, has reportedly fled to France.

News1 reported on June 9 that the police suspect YouTuber Yang of receiving financial assistance from Yoo Ah In before departing from Korea last month.

On June 8, Yang uploaded a video on YouTube, adding to the unfolding situation. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Drug Crime Investigation Unit had initially booked Yang on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.

However, when an arrest warrant was issued, Yang refused to cooperate with the investigation and left the country. Soon after, the police invalidated Yang's passport and requested Interpol's assistance in arranging an arrest.

During their investigation, the police discovered allegations that Yoo Ah In had provided money to Yang through an intermediary to aid in the YouTuber's escape. It was further revealed that Yang had departed for France following the receipt of the money transfer.

In light of the circumstances, the police applied for an arrest warrant for Yoo Ah In, citing concerns of potential evidence tampering. Nevertheless, further verification is required to ascertain whether the funds received by Yang can be traced back to Yoo Ah In.

Last month, on May 24, Yoo Ah In faced questioning before the chief judge responsible for arrest warrants at the Seoul Central District Court regarding habitual drug charges. A total of 21 individuals, including 10 doctors and 12 medical officials, were booked without detention on charges of medical drug misuse and abuse.

So now he's aiding and abetting his pals to flee the country? Wow what happened to all that talk about him being an innocent little victim of drugs who needed cuddles and cookies?

I really can't with all the ignorance here - if you don't know ANYTHING (not even the basics) about how the law and legal procedures work, just be quiet. All this "but they couldn't prove their allegations", "but the judge rejected the arrest" blabla - you all really don't get what is going on. He has ADMITTED to illegal purchases and consumption of drugs, there is enough evidence for some of it to prosecute him, and the "arrest warrant" was denied simply because the judge thinks he won't flee or destroy evidence - that means he can wait at home for his trial, not in a prison cell. NOTHING to do with his crimes and the outcome of the trial later.

.

And to put things in perspective: Yoo Ah In is one of the biggest drug-addicts this country has officially see - as the article states, they booked 21 doctors and medical officials who were involved in his drug abuse (and thus are very likely involved in many other similar stories) alongside him when deciding how to take this to court, which clearly indicates he is not a lone lost soul, this is a big thing and the police probably want to get at least SOME other people, because SK does have a drug problem and nobody wants to talk about it. But the problem is that the more powerful people are, the more difficult it is for the police to get them to court. Yoo Ah In is not "framed" because he upset someone, it's the opposite - the only reason he might get away with not too much (considering the extent of his consumption and what you can get for much less in SK) is that he has been taking all those drugs in the company of some higher-up, better-connected people who will do everything to make sure they are not named. Otherwise he would already be in court and soon jail - lucky for him and his just escaped buddy they are still "negotiating".
