Even though G-Dragon and BIGBANG haven't been active since 2017, their influence is still so strong that both old and new idols are still inspired by them.

Although new generation K-Pop fans on social media have been claiming that they are not relevant anymore among the general public and celebrities, mainly because of the infamous Burning Sun case that happened in 2019, 473 Korean and foreign celebrities showed their love and support for them, 104 celebrities chose G-Dragon, 89 celebrities chose BIGBANG, 21 celebrities chose Taeyang as their role model since 2019.

Besides these, G-Dragon is the top celebrity who is the standard in each field.

1.'GD of the X world'/X-Dragon

Celebrities who think they are very popular, impactful, or assertive in a field call themselves as 'GD of the X world,' and the ones who want to strengthen their image combine their own name with G-Dragon's.

Kim Jong-Kook, 'GD of the Trainer World'(Running Man EP.554)

He showed confidence in his fashion sense and said, "I'm the GD of the trainer world."

DinDin, 'GD of the Dwarf World' (DNA Mate) (*)

"I have the best fit among the short ones. I'm the GD of the dwarf world."
(DinDin was included to a list named 'Short People Born to be Loved' along with some celebrities)

Kim Hak-Rae, 'Hak-Dragon' (*)

"When I appeared in 'You Can't Be the No. 1,' the writers named me that way, so I'm still called that. How can I compare myself to G-Dragon? G-Dragon is a brand."

Pyo Chang-Won, 'GD of the SNS World'

He said he's the GD of the SNS world due to his popularity on SNS as a politician.

Park Se-Wook, 'GD of the Trot World'

CLICK-B's (90s band) Sanghyuk, 'Click-B's G-Dragon' (*)

"I'm the G-Dragon of Click B. GD is worldwide famous, but I am the GD in the neighborhood." He also sent a video letter to GD, "I remember you saying hello to me 10 years ago. I don't know if I'm in your memory. I'm always watching you as my mentor."

Lee Yong-Jin, 'G-Dragon of the Comedy World' (*)

[Shim Jin-hwa]: "Our Young-jin is so flashy in everything from the way he walks."
LYJ proudly said: "I'm the G-Dragon of the comedy world."

Moon Myung-Jin, 'GD of the Free Sample Section' (

Lulu Xiao, 'GD of the Beverage Industry' (*)

Chinese TV personality Lulu Xiao who started running a beverage business, said that her aim is to become the GD of the beverage industry.

Wang HaoXuan (WD) -'GD of China' & 'Chinese G-Dragon'

Chinese rapper Wang Hao Xuan calls himself the 'GD of China' and 'Chinese G-Dragon.' He even attended the show 'Rapper of China' (similar to Korea's Show Me The Money) with his song named 'W-Dragon' and called himself 'Chinese GD' in the lyrics. (*) Also, he chose GD as his role model so many times.

Yang Joon-Il, '90s GD'

He's been called a '90s GD'. To this, Yang Joon-Il said, "G-Dragon may not like it, but I'm really grateful." (*)

Yoo Jae Suk, 'Yoo Dragon'

YJS's stage name 'Yoo Dragon' and his style in SSAK3 represents G-Dragon. (*)

Kim Soo-Yong and Ji Suk-Jin, 'Soo-Dragon'and 'G-Sukjin'

Kim Soo-Yong nicknamed himself Soo-Dragon after G-Dragon and uses it as his stage name. Meanwhile, Ji Suk-Jin calls himself G-SukJin. He said he kinda parodies GD and that chose the name Soo-Dragon to strengthen his image and popularity. (*)

Lee Jae-Yong (executive chairman of Samsung), 'JaeDragon' and 'JD'

Employees revealed that Lee Jaeyong, the chairman of Samsung Electronics, is called 'JaeDragon' and 'JD' which is a reference to G-Dragon.He named himself after G-Dragon to establish himself as a 'celebrity' in the business world. (*)

Yekwon Sunwoo, 'GD of the International Classic Music Competitions World'

Yekwon Sunwoo is a first Korean gold medal winning pianist. He holds the record for winning the international competitions as a Korean. Thus, his team introduced him as the 'GD of the international classic music competitions world.'

Jinhyuk and Lee Ha-Joon, 'the GD and Taeyang of Mr. Trot.'

Jinhyuk and Lee Ha-Joon's collaboration stage on Mr. Trot was appreciated so much, so the judges couldn't stop praising them. Lee Eun-Ji said, "They are the GD and Taeyang of Mr. Trot. They controlled their breath so well. It's a pity that they can't perform together in the future."

Jinhyuk and Lee Ha-Joon were proud of being called as 'GD and Taeyang' and they couldn't hide their happiness. They gave each other a high-five.

2. He's constantly impersonated

His unique voice, style and gestures are as popular as himself that he's constantly imitated

Quan Qulong, 'ESO's GD'

ESO is a 6-member Chinese impersonation boy group debuted in 2022. Each group member presents a famous Chinese boy group member, and 1 of presents G-Dragon! (The green hair in the picture). His name in the group is Quan Qulong which is a reference to GD's Chinese name Quan Zhilong (Kwon Jiyong). The other members present EXO's former Chinese members Luhan and Tao, Wang Yibo, Karry Wang and TFBoys' Jackson Yee. (*)

Moon Se-Yoon, 'Pig-D'

He imitated G-Dragon's hairstyle and called himself Pig-D!

Jo Jeong-Sik, 'Mok-dong GD'

He hosted his radio show on SBS as G-Dragon and imitated his style and gestures. He even wrote GD in Korean on his chest and drew a Chanel logo and called himself Mokdong GD. (Mokdong is a place in Seoul).  He said he saw his wife's tweed jacket which became a trend when GD wore it, so he decided to wear it and impersonate GD. (*)

Kian84, 'Gwi-Dragon'

Kian84 named himself 'Gwi-Dragon' after dying his hair. (*)

Tsukasa Saito, 'Pe-Dragon'

Japanese comedian covered Still Life and transformed into G-Dragon! Also, he's been a long-term fan of GD and BIGBANG!

Jo Seho, 'Jo Dragon'

In 'Beat Coin's episode that was aired on February 23, 2023, the theme was top stars. Jo Seho impersonated G-Dragon, 2PM's Wooyoung impersonated Michael Jackson, Joo Woojae impersonated Seo Taiji, Kim Sookeun impersonated Yonsama (Bae YongJoon), and Hong Jinkyung transformed into a top model. 

Aaron Chen

Chinese actor Aaron Chen impersonated G-Dragon in an episode in a variety show where they cosplayed 'Global celebrities and characters.'  GD was the only Korean celebrity impersonated.(*)

Jung Dong Won

Trot singers Jung Dong Won, Lim Young Woong and Heejae covered BIGBANG's Fantastic Baby and Jung Dong Won transformed into G-Dragon.

Kim Yong-Myeong

In 'Comedy Big Leauge's February 20th episode, he imitated GD's hair in 'Fantastic Baby' and sang GD's 'Heartbreaker'

Wetboy

He parodied GD's pictorials for Dazed magazine.

Jung Jun-Ha and Shin Bong-Sun 

They parodied GD and IU.
