H1-Key's 'Rose Blossom' has been soaring on the charts in Korea. It all started after a YouTube short went viral.
The meaningfulness of the lyrics, written by Young K of DAY6, have resonated with the Korean audience. Many claim it has a nostalgic sound similar to something 2NE1 would release. Although the initial chart performance was not impressive, it has gradually been climbing the charts since it's release in January. Today they achieved their very first #1 on Bugs, surpassing top groups like NewJeans and StayC.
The song has also been climbing the daily charts as well. It is currently within the top 30 on all major charts.
Some netizens have notice the rise in popularity to EXID with Up&Down and Brave Girls with Rollin'. It seems Rose Blossom could be the next hit to launch a girl group to stardom.
